14 November 2017  :   KUCHING: Yayasan Sarawak menyediakan banyak bantuan pinjaman dan biasiswa dalam pendidikan termasuk untuk pelajar dari luar bandar di negeri ini. 

Menteri Muda Penyelidi-kan Sains dan Bioteknologi Dr Annuar Rapaee berkata, antara program itu Pinjaman Pelajaran Dalam Negara, Pinjaman LuarNegara, Pinjaman Latihan Teknikal, Biasiswa Tempatan, Biasiswa Yayasan Sarawak Tun Taib dan Bantuan Pendahuluan Pelajaran dan Teknikal melibatkanperuntukan sebanyak RM32 juta setahun.

24 October 2017  :   KUCHING: Kerajaan negeri bersetuju membina semula Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Chung Hua No.4, Jalan Haji Taha di sini di tapak baharu. 

Ketua Menteri Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg berkata, namun keputusan membina baharu sekolah itu bergantung kepada ahli LembagaPengarah SJKC Chung Hua No.4 sama ada bersetuju dengan cadangan tersebut atau sebaliknya.

Helping to expand, rebuild schools

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg is looking to help Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 move to a new location by allocating them a new piece of land.

According to him, the Chinese independent school located at Jalan Haji Taha here can no longer be expanded due to area constraint.

Education must focus on digital economy - CM

Ensure school uniform vouchers not abused - Tasik Biru rep

BAU: Principals and headmasters of schools in Tasik Biru area are urged to monitor the recipients of school uniform vouchers distributed by Yayasan Sarawak.

In making the call, Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said this was necessary to ensure that the vouchers are not abused by the parents to buy other items.

Sarawak explores possible research synergies with University of Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom: The Sarawak state government is exploring possible synergies in carrying out biomedical research between state research agencies and the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Over the past two days, a delegation from  the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Research, led by its Minister Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong, held meetings with prominent members of the Universitys faculty and visited Cambridges Science Park.

Chief Minister launches Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence

KUCHING: The Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence (SCOPE) was officially launched by Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at the Institute City Campus (ICC) in Bangunan Yayasan Sarawak here yesterday.

The private entity provides training for the private sector and organisations as well as conducts the SCOPE Circle, a monthly knowledge sharing platform where speakers from reputable organisations share insights on various fields of expertise.

15 August 2017  :   SIBU: Penerima Baucar Pakaian Seragam Sekolah Yayasan Sarawak dinasihati supaya menukar baucar kepada pakaian seragam sekolah yang sama nilaidengan baucar tersebut. 

Pengarah Yayasan Sarawak Azmi Bujang berkata mulai tahun ini kerajaan negeri memperuntukkan sejumlah RM4 juta untuk baucar bernilai RM200 setiasatu kepada 20,000 pelajar di seluruh negeri ini.

Yayasan Sarawak gets RM4 mln for uniforms of needy students

KUCHING: The state government this year has approved a total of RM4 million to Yayasan Sarawak to distribute vouchers to needy students for the purchase of school uniforms.

Each voucher amount has been increased to RM200 from RM100 previously.

`Lab session to discuss means to deal with dilapidated schools in Sarawak` - Manyin

TEBEDU: A lab session will be held this week to discuss matters concerning dilapidated schools across the state, including the costing and actions to be taken.

According to Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Dato Sri Michael Manyin, the lab serves as a platform for them to identify the schools for repair works beginning next year.
